Dear Friends,

On a Warm and Sunny Sunday, Telugu people from across Southern California joined for the day of fun and relaxation at the TASC annual summer picnic in Irvine Regional Park, CA on Sep 11th, 2011. It was an escape for everyone from the busy schedules and to spend quality time with family and friends at the picnic. The day also coincided with the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.

Nearly 250 people attended the picnic with kids and adults participating in all the fun filled activities and games. Especially kids had enjoyed a lot with Tatoos, painting, Kite flying, Musical quadrants, tug of war, lemon spoon racing and all other games. During the Picnic, everyone paid their respects to the innocent victims of 9/11 with a moment of silence and by lighting candles. They prayed and offered tributes to nearly 3000 victims from close to 90 countries including India.

During the picnic one of the parents visiting from India said “We are so happy to see so many Telugu families enjoying the picnic with such good spirit and harmony. A very well organized event by TASC”.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who attended and brought fun moments to the Picnic.

Thanks to GSR Technologies for sponsoring pizzas and prizes for the games.
