Star Night - Thank You Message from President

Dear Telugu Family,

Thank you for making the Banquet and Star night events a huge success. Despite the events being on Thursday and Friday, both working days, there was a tremendous response and turnout. The TASC 2011 team has spent countless hours in planning and organizing these events. Your support makes all our time and hard work worth it and motivates us more.

Banquet on Thu 7/7, was a grand success. Los Angeles Telugu people once again proved their generosity by raising funds during this event for a noble cause to support Basavatarakam Cancer Foundation. Total contributions/donations hit a record $100,000 + for that night. The event was graced by Yuvaratna Nandamuri Balakrishna, Kalatapsvi K.Vishwanath, Murali Mohan, Palakollu MLA Usha Rani, Jagityal MLA L.Ramana, Parchuri Gopala Krishna and others. Singers Simha and Kalyani entertained the audience with foot tapping numbers. Special Thanks to LA Telugu, Anil, Jayadev Appannagari, for their support on this and our TASC team for making it a success.

Star night on Fri 7/8 received a record breaking turnout for a Friday night. More than 1400 people attended the event and enjoyed the performances.

In addition to the star studded performances, we also encouraged some local talent. A group of young performers from San Diego entertained us all with a comedy skit. Our very own local sensation, a disciple of Guru Viji Prakash, Kasi Aysola enthralled the audience with his classical dance performance.

We feel much honored for the opportunity to felicitate famous Telugu movie director K.Vishwanath with a lifetime achievement “Darsaka Pitamaha” award. On this occasion TASC presented “Telugu Pride” award to Dr.Prem Reddy for his outstanding contribution to the Telugu Community.

The strength of TASC is in its unity and member support. It was a positive, welcome sign to see all the senior community leaders and past Presidents of TASC also during this event.  We also welcome all the new members who joined the TASC family. We thank each and everyone who attended the event for your support.

We would like to thank our Mega Sponsor of the events, Dr. Prem Reddy garu and Grand sponsor Pati Damodar Reddy garu for their generous donations and Grand sponsor of Banquet Chakra Cuisine. We would also like to thank our Platinum Sponsors for their monetary contributions to TASC 2011 events. We would also thank our food Sponsors Vasantha Bhavan, Annupurna Cuisine Culver City, Chakra Cuisine, Dosa Place,Tandoor Palace.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank and recognize the team that made this happen. Thanks to the conference committee & team, Gummadi Dharma Reddy garu, Laxman Koka, Suneel Ralangi & Anil Arrabelli. Sincere thanks to all the committee chairs and volunteers for their time and hardwork to make this a successful event. Picnic - Thanks Message from President

posted Sep 14, 2011 8:57 PM by tasc admin

Dear Friends,

On a Warm and Sunny Sunday, Telugu people from across Southern California joined for the day of fun and relaxation at the TASC annual summer picnic in Irvine Regional Park, CA on Sep 11th, 2011. It was an escape for everyone from the busy schedules and to spend quality time with family and friends at the picnic. The day also coincided with the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.

Nearly 250 people attended the picnic with kids and adults participating in all the fun filled activities and games. Especially kids had enjoyed a lot with Tatoos, painting, Kite flying, Musical quadrants, tug of war, lemon spoon racing and all other games. During the Picnic, everyone paid their respects to the innocent victims of 9/11 with a moment of silence and by lighting candles. They prayed and offered tributes to nearly 3000 victims from close to 90 countries including India.

During the picnic one of the parents visiting from India said “We are so happy to see so many Telugu families enjoying the picnic with such good spirit and harmony. A very well organized event by TASC”.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who attended and brought fun moments to the Picnic.

Thanks to GSR Technologies for sponsoring pizzas and prizes for the games.
Thanks to Dosa Place Tustin for providing good tasty lunch.

We all know, to make an event successful it needs lot of effort. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have worked towards the success, Vijay Bhaskar, Suneel Ralangi, Ram Yelamanchili, Prasad Rani, Srinivas Rani, Raja Aysola, Deepthi Kiran, Bayapa Reddy, Devi Koka, Shyam Gumdala, Suresh Babu, Sujit Vadi, Prasad Koka, Murali Reddy, Prathyusha, Chakri, Benarjee, Ramesh Gattu and Special Thanks to Sitaram Pamireddy for going an extra mile and to all who made the Picnic a Success.

Once again Thanks to Veera Babu for taking time to capture the picnic memories and thanks to our media partner
